CRĀSI SEED GRANT PROGRAM

NEXT CALL:

SPRING 2017

The CRĀSI seed grant program seeks innovative proposals addressing fundamental scientific questions pertaining to surfaces and interfaces. The program aims: 1) to catalyze new collaborations of two or more PIs involving at least one member of the CRĀSI faculty; 2) to enable research that will explore early stage concepts that can become the foundation of future team-based or center proposals; 3) generate the preliminary data necessary for the submission of an external grant application and establish a track record for the team.

Project descriptions should not exceed two pages. A separate cover page should indicate the names and affiliations of the investigators. A one-page budget, not to exceed $15,000, should also be provided. Seed grant funds may be used to support student salaries, materials and supplies, and/or up to $2k of travel. Travel to visit program managers to discuss new research directions is encouraged.
